Stacy (Founder of SSS)
1. Small intro of yourself (how long have you been with SSS)
Hello, I'm Stacy and I founded SSS. When I started Seven Slot Sisterhood (originally founded as Jeep Girl Nation) in October of 2017 in my home town of Dade City, Florida, I never dreamed that it would grow into what it is today. Our mission is to build a community where all “Jeep Girls” can come together to learn how to wheel, work on their Jeeps and just generally live the Jeep Life. My goal is for SSS is to offer a safe environment for Q&A, FREE educational videos/classes, and to bring strong like minded women together and to help build an awesome community that we all can be proud of.
2. Tell us about your Jeep (name, any cool mods, etc)
My longest relationship is with my Jeep "Chip", we have been together for over 10 years. He is a diva who hates the mud and loves the rocks. He got his name because I always have the good snacks on the trail and my diet is that of a very picky 5 year old lol.
3. What is SSS to you and why did join the leadership team.
SSS is everything to me. When I started SSS I wanted to build a community that we all can be proud of. No drama, just strong women helping each other on and off the trails.
4. Where is your favorite place that your Jeep has taken you?
I always say.."Oh the places we will go" and have I gone places! Best wheeling is definitely Windrock, TN. Moab is "cool" and it is a fun time. Colorado is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. It is amazing the places your Jeep can take you that the average person will never get to experience.
5. What has the “Jeep Life” given you?
Confidence.. My Jeep gives me the confidence to do things I never thought I would be doing and I'm loving every minute of it!
6. What is the one “Bucket List” thing you want to do with your Jeep.
I have been very blessed to travel the country and wheel. My "bucket list" is to keep doing that with my husband!
7. If you could go back in time to the day you bought your Jeep what is the ONE piece of advice you would give yourself?
Sit back, bucket up and hold on. Trust the journey that is the "Jeep Life" and know that everything happens for a reason and it will all work out the way it should.
Shelley (SSS Leader Since 10.8.17)
1. Small intro of yourself (how long have you been with SSS)
Hey - I’m Shelley! I live in the New Port Richey, FL area and I have been part of the Admin/Leadership Team since the inception of SSS
2. Tell us about your Jeep (name, any cool mods, etc)
I drive a 2013 JK named Jersey, after where I was born & raised. She is more than just a vehicle, but an extension of myself and my personality. We’re both a little loud, tenacious, feisty and determined. She was the very first vehicle I ever purchased brand new and that I have learned to work on myself.
3. What is SSS to you and why did join the leadership team.
Stacy didn’t give me an option! I’m not allowed to leave either – Hahahaha!
In all seriousness, I remember starting out with my jeep and knew NOTHING about the mechanics of how things worked and barely knew how to put in 4WD. I feel I was very fortunate to be “taken under the wing” by a few friends in the jeep community who really taught and encouraged me to learn and push myself both on and off the road. Being part of our leadership team is my way of paying it forward. I love seeing the expressions on the faces of those new to their jeep as they learn how easy it is to change their differential fluids for the first time or conquer an obstacle they didn’t think was possible, and the confidence that continues to grow as they learn to push their limits further too.
4. Where is your favorite place that your Jeep has taken you?
I should say Moab – it was an amazing experience and a trip of a lifetime with some of the best people who have come into my life, because of my jeep. But I have an unusual emotional attachment to the mountains of eastern TN and Windrock is my most favorite place to wheel.
5. What has the “Jeep Life” given you?
I cannot find words that accurately describe how my jeep changed my life. She has given me more confidence, passion, adventures, joy, and some of the best friendships of my life. She has helped me understand what I want out of life and how important it is to enjoy the short time we spend on earth. She has shown me that I am more capable than I give myself credit for and that I love my comfort zones being pushed & the adrenaline rush that comes with it. But most of all, she has taught me to never forget where you came from….we all started somewhere and you never stop learning or seeking new experiences.
6. What is the one “Bucket List” thing you want to do with your Jeep.
I have to pick just one?
It’s still Black Bear Pass in Colorado.
Although I would love to get her up to the Canadian Rockies, too.
7. If you could go back in time to the day you bought your Jeep what is the ONE piece of advice you would give yourself?
Believe in yourself & go for it!
(I really want to answer this “get a second job!!!” LOL)
Angie (SSS Leader Since 6.10.18)
1. Small intro of yourself (how long have you been with SSS)
I'm Angie and this is my girl Kidlin. I've been part of the Jeep community since 2017. Kidlin is a 2003 TJ in the best color 😍! I've been with SSS since it was JGN!
2. Tell us about your Jeep (name, any cool mods, etc)
Cool thing about Kidlin: she has hidden fairies 🧚♂️ all over the place!
3. What is SSS to you and why did join the leadership team.
SSS is a place where not only can I ask questions but is a place I can express myself. I can help and encourage others the way others did for me. It's a group of like-minded women that enjoy doing something a little different! I joined the leadership team to encourage and empower others to step outside their comfort zone. I was once in their shoes and knew how scary it can be! Plus all my besties are here!
4. Where is your favorite place that your Jeep has taken you?
to infinity and beyond! 😁 Actually she's taken me all over Florida, but mostly she's brought me together with my besties!
5. What has the “Jeep Life” given you?
A sense of community. A slight daring side. A chance to push myself beyond what I thought I could do. A way to be closer to my family (hubby is a Jeeper too!) and friends.
6. What is the one “Bucket List” thing you want to do with your Jeep.
AOP, Windrock, Moab!
7. If you could go back in time to the day you bought your Jeep what is the ONE piece of advice you would give yourself?
listen to your "elders". Trust they have been there, done that.
Mitzi (SSS Leader Since 5.26.19)
Hi, I’m Mitzi and I have Maui. I have been with SSS going on 6 years now. Maui is a 2016 Rubicon but with a few upgrades to help me conquer a few more obstacles.
I am a part of SSS and the leadership team because I believe in the values presented with the group. Helping others learn and become more confident and independent both on and off the trails. Everyone needs support and I am so glad I can help even if it is in small ways.
So far my favorite place to wheel in Windrock, I jumped right into wheeling out of state, I went from The Jeep Ranch to Windrock and have no regrets. We have plans to go experience some new places and my favorite place could change in the near future. I will keep you posted. My bucket list is long and I am planning to start on it this year. Adventure is out there!
Jeep life is something most don’t understand, not even when they first start out, but they will soon learn that is a community, a family and there is always someone there to help along the way. I may not know all the answers, but I can always find someone that does know the answer to your question. So just ask and we can learn together.
My husband has been in the Jeep community since … forever and I was brought into the community when we bought our first YJ back in the day. So, I pretty much knew what I wanted when I started my search for Maui… I have no regrets. Always moving forward and learning new things never stops.
Susan (SSS Leader Since 8.3.20)
1. Small intro of yourself (how long have you been with SSS)
My name is Susan and I’ve been with SSS since the beginning, almost 5 years ago and part of the leadership team since August of 2020. I live in New Port Richey, FL and also travel up to southwest Georgia about twice a month.
2. Tell us about your Jeep (name, any cool mods, etc)
My Jeep is a black 2012 JKU in which I’ve had since 2017. I think the longest I’ve ever owned a vehicle!!!! I named my Jeep, Shambala, which is my favorite song and it means peace, tranquility, and happiness. My jeep was stock when I got it and have slowly added a lift, tires, wheels, inner fenders, bumpers, a winch, and yet there’s still more that’s I’d like to do.
3. What is SSS to you and why did join the leadership team.
SSS is an amazing group of ladies that help and support one another. I never feel judged or feel like I can’t ask a question without anyone thinking “geez who is this girl!?!?” I wanted to be part of the leadership team because I wanted to be part of group of women that help others and give back to the community. I love that we’ve helped contribute to some amazing charities and have had this entire group of ladies come together and donate BIG! I can’t wait to see what this year has to bring!
4. Where is your favorite place that your Jeep has taken you?
I have not ventured out of the state of Florida yet but my favorite memory has been The Jeep Ranch which was my very first ride with this group of women and their misters. This is when I got hooked.
5. What has the “Jeep Life” given you?
The Jeep life has given me an empty pocketbook. Never in my life did I get excited about buying tires, big brake kits, seat covers, shocks, headlights, etc!!! I wouldn’t trade it for a second!!!
6. What is the one “Bucket List” thing you want to do with your Jeep.
My bucket list is to take a couple weeks and road trip to Pennsylvania and go to Rausch Creek Off Road Park and do trail 11. My maiden name is Rausch and #11 is my son’s “number”.
7. If you could go back in time to the day you bought your Jeep what is the ONE piece of advice you would give yourself?
My one piece of advice I would have given myself when I bought my Jeep would have been to save all my money because the upgrades are endless.
